Terms of use of the conversational assistant

1. Definition

This conversational assistant is not a human being, but a system operated with artificial intelligence.

2. Purpose and prohibited uses

The information provided by the same only facilitates the reading of the package leaflets of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, and Its local affiliates and SHOULD NEVER REPLACE THE INDICATIONS OF YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST WHO IS THE MOST SUITABLE PERSON TO RESOLVE ANY QUESTION ABOUT YOUR PARTICULAR CASE.

This Assistant should not be used in cases of medical emergency and does not support emergency calls. In case of medical emergency, call the emergency number in your country immediately. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read through the conversational assistant.

You understand that the conversational assistant and the information it provides are for the sole purpose of facilitating the reading of the Teva medication leaflet;

It is a Teva service only for Teva medicines and not from other Laboratories.
If a misuse or improper use of the resources enabled through the conversational assistant is identified, it may cancel its access to the service and/or adopt any other measure that it deems appropriate at its sole discretion.

3. Personal data

You must not provide personal data of your own or of third parties. If you provide them, you accept the processing of them in accordance with the provisions of the following Link.

4. Age of majority

The use of this conversational assistant is prohibited by minors under 18 years of age.

5. Explanation of how artificial intelligence works and technologies used

The conversational assistant is a chatbot based on artificial intelligence technology.
This conversational assistant has been trained based on our history of frequent queries, and interactions with users. It is based on an automated analysis of the question and selection of answers to determine the most appropriate one for each query. It has been designed so that neither the analysis nor its response can have a significant effect on the user.
This conversational assistant is not intended to replace a professional consultation or diagnosis or to process personal data (they must not be provided, unless they are essential – such as in the case of adverse effects).

There is specialized human supervision throughout the general process of automatic responses, as well as human management in the referral and management of possible adverse effects that could be communicated to us.

The Medinfo Chatbot is built on a conversational artificial intelligence (CAIP) platform. This platform is an NLU (Natural Language Understanding) tool capable of understanding natural language and extracting information in real time to offer a relevant response to the user.

6. Third-Party Sites

To the extent that the conversational assistant contains links to other websites or resources operated by third parties, these links will be deemed to be provided for your information only. We cannot influence the content of such websites or resources provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content of linked information or websites. We cannot be liable for any financial or physical harm you may incur as a result of, or in connection with, the use of such websites or resources.

7. Internet incident recognition

The User acknowledges that the computer services accessed through the Internet, as is the case of this conversational assistant, are variable and do not maintain an inviolable level of security even when they meet adequate security standards, therefore, the Service could be subject to interference, interruptions or violations by third parties and operational errors. therefore, the User assumes the consequences and responsibilities that may arise from it, without reservation or limitation of any kind, releasing Teva from all liability for any damages that may arise from such event.

8. Intellectual and industrial property

This conversational assistant is protected by Intellectual Property laws. They may not be subject to exploitation, reproduction, distribution, modification, public communication, transfer or transformation without Teva's prior authorisation.
The trade name, trademarks, logo, products and services contained in this conversational assistant are protected by law.
Teva reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against users who violate or infringe intellectual and industrial property rights.

9. Jurisdiction

The relations between Teva and the users of this conversational assistant are subject to your local legislation and jurisdiction.

10. General

In general, every User, by the simple fact of using the conversational assistant, undertakes to:

  • Use it only for the purpose of facilitating the reading of the prospectus and not to use it for the purposes and/or in the form and/or for the uses for which it is not intended in accordance with the provisions of section 2 of these Terms of Use.

  • Comply with each and every one of the other indications established in the Conditions, as well as any others that may be inferred from a correct, good faith and/or rational use of the conversational assistant.
  • Not to violate the rights of third parties.

  • You, the User, agree not to replicate or copy this Medinfo chatbot in whole or in part, without the prior and express permission of Teva.

Failure to comply with any of these obligations and/or others contemplated in this document will give rise to the corresponding administrative, civil and/or criminal liabilities. Teva, its collaborators or employees, will not be responsible in any way for the consequences that may be generated by the breach of any of the conditions, obligations or prohibitions mentioned in these Terms of Use, which may be generated.

The User declares to have read, understood and accepted these terms of use and adheres to them fully and without reservation.
